Looking for Recruitment Business Partners

The Hub is a network of independent recruitment specialists utilising a centralised delivery, back office and support function – or hub – hence the name.

We are looking for Recruitment Partners to join the network.

Our Recruitment Partners come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances including ambitious entrepreneurs, home carers and established recruitment businesses. All are looking to capitalise on their experience and business relationships to create an additional revenue stream. The Hub is a simple mechanism for the independent recruiter to open up additional revenue streams and develop business, utilising the delivery engine of a £120m recruitment plc.
The Recruitment Partners generate the vacancies that they are unable to deliver competitively against and The Hub uses the significant delivery capability of a recruitment plc to find the best available candidates. When the placement is made, we split the fee.

The Recruitment Partner maintains contact and the relationship with the client.

Background Information

The Hub is part of a £120m group of companies – one of the largest independent recruitment organisations in the UK, with over 25 years experience and a track record of success. They work across IT, Finance, HR, Sales & Marketing and use both their mature database plus specialist online sources to deliver the best available candidates.

You are likely to be a Recruitment professional, perhaps with your own established business or an ambitious entrepreneur keen to capitalise on your experience and if you do not have your own existing business, we can help you with branding, technology etc at no cost by joining The Hub.

So what is The Hub?

'Starting up a new venture is a difficult decision, but one that is incredibly rewarding. Although successful, I constantly thought there must be a better way to do this and wanted a solution that would capitalise upon my experiences. Being an independent recruiter obviously means that you don’t have the support and infrastructure that you would within a large company and that business relationships become more important. I researched franchises, business angels and recruitment Venture Capitalists but found that I would have to either pay out large sums of money, or that I would be restricted in the type of person that I would be able to recruit and ultimately would have to meet someone else’s targets. It would also mean that I would be responsible for the entire recruitment process with no real improvement in my ability to deliver candidates.

The Hub is the result of an idea I had that would bridge the gap between complete independence and the delivery capability of a large organisation .It’s for people like me, who want to work for themselves, setting their own targets and working patterns but would like to utilise the significant delivery capability of a £120m recruitment plc.'

The Hub exploits the strengths of both models to deliver an exceptional service to our clients.’

The Hub is part of the highly successful RSG, a Bristol based £120m recruitment plc. The Hub capitalises on the strengths of both the independent recruiter and the large recruitment group and we genuinely feel that it is a unique offering and is positive news in the current climate. We use a network of highly experienced independent recruiters to generate the vacancies from their contacts. They have strong relationships and typically will have been working in the industry for a number of years and therefore are experts in their field and highly trusted by their contacts. The Hub provides the partners with all of the tools that they need but crucially also provides the vast delivery capability of a recruitment plc for them to deliver a first class service. Our Recruitment partners are free to choose how, when and where they work. Our current partners include both established agencies and ambitious entrepreneurs but also people looking to secure a better work life balance for a variety of reasons. Because we do not set the hours or targets, our Recruitment Partners are free to work when and from where they choose. Strong relationships are key and The Hub provides all of the other infrastructure to get them billing including branding, agreements, technology and invoicing where needed. The Hub does not charge set up costs.

Recruiting Diversity

In the current UK market competition is high, vacancies are chased by many and over-resourced by the suppliers. Clients are only working with the suppliers that can deliver best available and qualified candidates.

An option available to the majority of established agencies is diversification from the core market. We have all had vacancies that have been sent through to us by clients, sales teams and PSL agreements that have been happily ignored in a busy market. These roles may be on the periphery of the core discipline or simply something that you have no knowledge or database of.

I suspect that these roles are now being worked harder than they ever have but as a small agency, you may not have the time, energy, money or resources to effectively source best available candidates and compete in a new market. We are part of a £120m recruitment plc with over 25 years expertise in professional disciplines, a mature database and significant advertising presence. The Hub is a network of independent recruitment specialists utilising a centralised delivery, back office and support function – or hub – hence the name.

The Hub enables the Recruitment Partner to diversify and open up new business channels by providing a market leading delivery capability. The Fees are split between The Hub and the Recruitment Partner and there is no minimum commitment to use us. You maintain contact with your client.

The Hub

Welcome, this is my first ever blog post and still a little unsure about how it will appear so please bear with me! I am Jonny Hiles, based in Bristol in the UK and very happily married to Joanne. I am a professional recruiter and Director of two Recruitment businesses. My interest in a blog was to communicate my experiences of working as a self employed recruiter and talk about The Hub which is currently my main focus.
